Story Contest 2020

“Neptune giveth!”—In our family, mostly exclaimed when a tennis ball unexpectedly washes ashore, much to our dogs’ delight. Perhaps you have a tale of greater significance. 

Did the perfect pair of ash oars with neatly sewn leathers wash up on your stretch of marsh? Perhaps you met your soulmate while plucking mussels from the jetty? Did time aboard shape who you are?

For the 2020 edition, we want to hear your true story about a gift, material or otherwise, that came to you from the sea.

The winning entry will be published in the 2020 edition and the author will receive a copy of the book, an Eldridge tote bag and $200. Submissions must be original, previously unpublished works and grant the publisher nonexclusive rights to publish winning entries in the book and on our website.
